Local Area Neighborhood · QR Work Order System

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply to the QR Work Order System operated by Local Area Neighborhood (Norman Lai, sole proprietor) ("we", "us"). By submitting a maintenance request or receiving messages from the service, you agree to these terms.

What the service does

The service lets residents report maintenance problems at a property by scanning a QR code, and routes those reports to the responsible property manager and any assigned vendor. Residents, managers, and vendors may receive text messages and emails about the status of a request.

Text message (SMS) program

Your responsibilities

Provide accurate information when you submit a request. Do not use the service to report false emergencies. For a life-threatening emergency or a fire, call 911 first; this service is not an emergency line and responses are not guaranteed to be immediate.

No guarantee of service

The service is provided "as is." Repair timing depends on the property manager and vendors, who are not employees of Local Area Neighborhood. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for delays, missed messages, or indirect damages arising from use of the service.

Privacy

How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.
